We are Marsha and Bernie, born and raised in Minnesota. We both took early retirement in 2009, bought a small used motor home and have been traveling around the United States. The winters in Minnesota can be nasty so we spent the winter months in the southern states. In the summer we return to our home, park the rig in the driveway, and might take some short trips up north when it gets hot.
In 2011 we upgraded to a bigger and newer rig, a 2010 34′ Winnebago Itasca Sunova. After traveling from the east coast to the west coast and doing a bit of research and soul searching we decided we should sell our house of 22 years in Minnesota and live full time in the motor home for as long as we can stand it. We spent the summer of 2012 disposing of all our possessions, sold the house and hit the road.
This blog is a daily journal of our activities. It won’t always be interesting, but it offers a way for you to see where we are and what we are doing. We enjoy sharing our experiences with you.

Hubby and I decided that working forever is not what we want so in exactly 36 months we will retire! We live in Dallas but spent more than half a decade in NY…will always be our home. Enjoyed reading your posts and will be following your adventure after your summer at your “home”…we always go home don’t we ?
