Minnesota Bound

We left Benson this morning and began our journey back to Minnesota.  We lost one hour when we crossed the Arizona into New Mexico border.  The weather is nice, a good day for a drive.  One of the first things we saw was a Border Patrol Checkpoint just north of Deming, New Mexico.   “How many people on board?”, “Are you both U.S. Citizens?” “Have a good day”, and waved us on.

We are spending tonight in a Walmart parking lot in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.  Originally named Hot Springs, the town changed its name in 1950 to that of the popular game show to get that show to broadcast a show from their town. We’re not exploring the area, will save that for another time.  There are 7 other RVs in the lot here with us.
