Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, was a quiet one for us. Rather than cook the meal we went to Cracker Barrel Restaurant for our traditional turkey dinner. For sure this was a popular place, lots of people waiting outside.
Friday we drove down to the Daytona International Speedway, about an hour south of St.Augustine. The Daytona Turkey Run is the largest classic car show in the United States, with over 6,000 show cars and over 1,000 swap meet vendors. Parking was free, but we paid $15 each for admission. And it was such a beautiful day, around 65-70F, and partly cloudy. Besides the cars there was a swap meet with vendors selling car parts and “stuff”. And there was a craft show “for the ladies” Here are some of the pictures of the day:
- Gasoline Expense: none
- Lodging Expense: $20
- Admission: $30
