The last six days we have been enjoying our stay at Wine Ridge RV Resort & Cottages in Pahrump, Nevada. After dry camping in Death Valley for the previous week we have appreciated having full hook-ups and amenities. And it’s nice to have a break from all the driving we have been doing. While the daytime temperatures were around 60-70 degrees there have been a few freezing overnights here. But we never saw any frost on the cars, probably because there is no humidity here.

There are several small casinos in Pahrump so we had to go check those out, other than that we’ve just been relaxing. I had asked our mail service to send us our mail and it arrived yesterday. So now we will continue our travels.
We have moved 150 miles south through the desert, by-passing Las Vegas and going directly to Laughlin.

Laughlin, NV
We are in the parking lot at Riverside Casino with several other RVs.

Riverside Casino, Laughlin, NV
Riverside is much much larger than all the casinos we have seen since we left Minnesota and has more restaurants, more shopping, an old car museum, theaters and more. We will explore more of the area tomorrow. The Colorado River runs along the Nevada/Arizona border in this part of the state. Bullhead City, Arizona is just across the river. It’s also the time zone line, so it’s one hour different over there.

It gets dark around 5:00 (or is it 6:00?) now so we will see more tomorrow in the daylight.
