Finally, after leaving Minnesota nine months ago, traveling to Washington State, down the beautiful Oregon Coast, seeing the Giant Redwoods forest, Death Valley, Lake Havasu, Yuma Arizona, taking an incredible Amtrak train trip from Arizona to New Hampshire (to see our new grandson!) and back, then driving on to Louisiana, up the Natchez Trace, Gettysburg, Williamsburg, Yorktown, Washington DC Cherry Blossom Festival, visiting our daughter in Connecticut, and our son and his family in New Hampshire, and many other things in between, we are now back in our home town of Hutchinson, Minnesota. What a trip.
We’ve been driving many miles the last couple of days as we make our way to Minnesota from New Hampshire, dealing with a lot of road construction, rough roads, and rain storms. It was good to once again see that “Welcome to Minnesota” sign.
I have missed the corn fields! Go figure. We will probably stay around here for a few months while we catch up with friends and relatives and take care of business like dentist appointments and such.I will take a break from blogging until we head out on our next adventure this fall. Who wants to hear about our grocery shopping and laundry experiences anyway?
There’s no place like home! And Minnesota is a beautiful state to call home. We too will be spending the summer at home in Georgia. Right now we don’t have any more travel plans for a while. Enjoy your summer!
