We’ve been laying low the last few days, in Eagle River by Anchorage.  I had to find a dentist to take care of a painful tooth.  Ended up having it extracted, so we wanted to stick around for a few days in case there were any problems with it, which there were not.

To pass the time we did a lot of shopping; not “buying”, just shopping.  Wednesday we went back to Wasilla for the day.  The information center there has a cardboard cutout of Sarah Palin.  I couldn’t resist taking her picture.

It was Farmers Market day, so we took that in too.

Today we headed west on the Glenn Highway towards the small town of Glennallen.  It was cloudy, foggy, and sometimes rainy but we could still see the beautiful panoramic views.

We are spending the night in Northern Nights Campground & RV Park in Glennallen and plan to leave in the morning heading south to Valdez.
