Prison, Old Cars, Dolls, and Deer

We toured the Old Montana Prison today.  The self-guided tour was really very interesting.  We wandered around the cell block, the warden’s office, the isolation cells for the troublesome inmates, and “The Hole” for the really obstinate inmates, the mess hall, the yard, and all the rest.

Included with the $10 price of admission was access to a collection of around 150 old cars that were housed in a building attached to the opposing side of the prison’s gift shop.

And that’s not all, our tickets also provided us admission to a doll museum across the street.  This was bigger than it looked, the first room was a huge collection of Raggedy Ann & Andy dolls.  Beyond that was a big room of porcelain dolls, and beyond that a model train collection.

AND that’s not all, our tickets also provided us admission to an old west museum and a Milwaukee RR Exhibit and a few other museums that we did not get to.  We were anxious to be on our way.

After we checked in to an RV park we went for a drive (as if we hadn’t had enough) and saw many deer.
