Niagara Falls

New York has Text Stops.  Cool.  I hope they make a difference.

After stopping for a nice lunch with a friend from Bernie’s (former) work we found a RV park and then made our way to see Niagara Falls.  It was very cloudy and windy and rain was on the way.

We walked around the American side and took several pictures.  There was some construction going on so not all areas were accessible.  And then it started to rain so we found shelter in a shopping center until it passed.

The falls are best viewed from Canada so we walked across the Rainbow Bridge to Canada. No problems getting through Customs. The Canada side has outdone the American side with its well-groomed park and plaza with restaurants and shops leading from the bridge to a big Visitor Center by Horseshoe Falls.

We waited for the sun to set when the falls are lit up with colored lights.  Cool.

Walking across the bridge to Canada was free, but to get BACK into the United States we had to pay 50 cents each. This caught us off guard.  Good thing we had some money with us or we would have been begging on the streets.
