Sunshine!! All day today. We didn’t see a single cloud. It was cool, around 60F. A perfect day for a walk in my opinion.
There are a few armadillos scampering around our campground. This one didn’t seem to mind having its picture taken while it was scrounging around looking for goodies.

The sand here is so amazingly white. It felt like home watching this plow remove the snow-white sand. It was tempting to lay down and make snow angels.

It’s Not Snow
We explored more of the area around Fort Pickens and the campground. Along the shore on the Gulf of Mexico side of the island there are several batteries, remnants of large guns built around 1906 and used in WWI and WWII.

While exploring the area we found this section of the Florida National Scenic Trail. It’s a branch off the trail we found when we were in Stephen Foster State Park two weeks ago.
