Back to our home state, that is. Good old Minnesota, where we will spend the summer. I most likely will not be blogging (almost) daily throughout the summer unless we do something really cool. For the most part we will remain stationary and live our lives as we did when we had the stick house. We have a place to park in Hutchinson for the summer but for tonight we are in Blue Earth.

After visiting with family we stopped to say hello to the Jolly Green Giant who lives in Blue Earth. We will head to Hutchinson in the morning.

The Jolly Green Giant
Hello, I am a new follower of your blog. It was suggested to me from a post that I had left on RV Boondocking. I am from Minnesota as well but am now living in Southwest Michigan. I am very interested in your solar oven experiences. We will be heading to the desert southwest in a few months and would like to experiment with either making a solar oven myself or purchasing one.. If you have any suggestions to offer I would be most grateful. I blogged for a while but found I needed more balance with privacy and writing, so I kind of fell off the band wagon. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

Cool! Thanks for following. We plan to leave Minnesota in September and continue our travels around the US. We plan to get the the Southwest this winter too, and will be give the solar oven more use at that time. Here’s a link to the information I used to build the solar cooker I made from cardboard and tinfoil. They can be expensive to purchase, and it’s just more fun to say “I did that.” I haven’t decided just how I will build a box oven yet, but my mission is to bake cookies in a solar box oven I built myself. Let me know if you read my future posts and we find ourselves in close proximity, would be fun to connect and share our solar cooking experiences. http://solarcooking.wikia.com/wiki/Fun-Panel
